In Professor Hsiao-Ching Yang’s lab, you’re not just conducting research — you are decoding the genetic blueprint of materials that will power tomorrow’s technologies.
Our work integrates multiscale molecular simulations, artificial intelligence, and advanced photon and neutron techniques, including access to synchrotron light sources and international scattering beamlines (X-ray and neutron SAXS/WAXS). We investigate how materials behave under real and extreme environments, revealing their structure, dynamics, and function.
Our core research areas include:
1. Carbon-free energy and storage materials – Designing next-generation batteries and hydrogen-based systems to accelerate the clean energy transition.
2. Next-generation semiconductors and substrates – Developing advanced processing materials to drive high-speed computing and intelligent technologies.
3. Biomacromolecules and intelligent hybrid materials – Creating MOF/COF-based organic frameworks enhanced by AI and biomimetic design to build materials that can sense, respond, and learn.
